1.Union Government approved launch of Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana to provide access to electricity to rural households across the country.Decision was taken on 20th Novenmer 2014.

2.Union Government on 18th November 2014 relaunched Kisan Vikas Patra scheme to encourage small saving.

3.Union Ministry for Food Processing Industries on 18 November 2014 reconstituted the National Food Processing Development Council (NFDPC).

4.Union Finance Ministry on 14 November 2014 announced that Goa and Kerala became the first states in the country to achieve 100 percent Financial Inclusion under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY).
Also, three Union Territories (UTs) namely Chandigarh, Puducherry and Lakshadweep achieved 100 percent financial inclusion.

5.Indian shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth on 16 November 2014 clinched women’s and men’s singles title of the 700000 US dollar China Open Super Series Premier of Badminton respectively, in Fuzhou, China.

6.Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on 19 November 2014 raised India growth forecast to 6.6percent for the financial year 2015-2016.

7.Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd ( IREDA) and US Export-Import (Exim) Bank on 18 November 2014 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with respect to cooperation on clean energy investment.

8.Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) on 18 November 2014 released Global Terrorism Index 2014. The Index 2014 provides ranks for 162 countries and provides a fact-based understanding of terrorism and its impact.

9.Assam State Zoo in Guwahati in the third week of November 2014 decided to have the critically endangered pig Pygmy Hog (Porcula salvania). Pygmy Hog is the rarest and smallest wild pig in the world.

10.To protect declining shark populations and to save marine ecosystems, Jet Airways Cargo has instituted a policy against the shipment of shark fins. This decision of the leading Indian airline was revealed by a press release from Human Society International (HSI), India on 6 November 2014.
